Dear Friends,

Grace to you, and Peace!

You may have heard a rumor that there are changes afoot on the grounds of Pilgrim Lodge. You may also have seen the changes so you know it to be true!

Our Maine Conference Board of Directors has recently made the decision to renovate the old Farmhouse, which has long stood vigil at the entrance to the beloved campus. Work has already begun, and the goal is to move our administrative offices out of our rented office space in Augusta and into the Farmhouse in the Fall of 2026 – just in time for its dedication at Annual Meeting! This investment in our own property will free us of $36,000 a year in rent and provide us with the space for all of our staff to work together year-round.

We have been able to begin this work thanks to the proceeds of the sale of the Sebago Land Sale last year. But for us to complete the work, we need to build together! Our covenant invites us to share the joys and burdens of being the Maine Conference, UCC – that’s you, that’s me, that’s ALL of us TOGETHER- One Vision. One Mission. One Home.

The proceeds from the land sale are to be used for demolition and construction. We will need donations for the inside work that includes items as well as infrastructure. We are inviting you to partner with us in a capital campaign to build for the future of the Maine Conference.

Our goal for this capital campaign – One Vision. One Mission. One Home. – is to raise $150,000 in monetary gifts or physical items. We know we can do this, because “In Covenant, we build together.”

You may choose to give a one-time cash donation or a monthly pledge over the next two years.  Or you may choose to purchase an item.

However you wish to give, your name will appear on an appreciation plaque in the Farmhouse.

We are deeply grateful to each of you and treasure our Covenant together. Please feel free to reach out to us or our Conference Minister if you have questions.
