Please save some time to participate in one of four half-day sessions led by our conference’s consultant, The Rev. Dr. Larry Peers, as we meet, talk, and listen together to name the strengths and challenges of our Conference in this time, and how we may address issues and concerns expressed in our common life and ministry.
The Maine Conference is hosting a series of listening & learning sessions with members and clergy from across our Conference in order to listen and engage in some dialogue regarding some of our current strengths, challenges, tensions, and aspirations. As you may know, there have been some changes in recent years in how the Conference does its work together and these listening & learning groups are a way for us to reflect upon our varied experiences and our common hopes, as we determine some possible ways to move forward.
We are trying to get as much of a cross-section of the Conference as we can to attend these sessions. This is the first part of a process that the Board has undertaken with the help of an outside consultant, Dr. Larry Peers, who knows the UCC.
So, would you be willing to sign up for a morning or an afternoon session on Friday, June 14th or Saturday, June 15th at Waterville UCC in Waterville? n
On either day, the morning session is from 9:00 a.m. until 12 noon and the afternoon session is from 1:00-4: 00 pm.
