Minutes for the last meeting were read and approved.
Other:
1. A free will donation for a gift given to June will be accepted by Anne at
any time.
2. We voted to meet in September. We are responsible for worship and refreshments.
Ongoing Business:
1. Retired Clergy Retreat: If the retired clergy want a retreat, we will sponsor
one, and plan it. A pole of retired clergy will be taken.
2. Budget 2008: We may have to further adjust the 08 budget.
Conference Concerns:
Rev.June Boutwell reports that the camps are filling up! We talked about her
wonderful leadership the last two years and wished her well on her future plans.
June’s last day at the Yarmouth office will be August 9th.
The Academy For Congregational life and Leadership is dependent on budget approval.
A series of planning meetings will happen, to devise a budget. Write a Brown
Grant proposal for it, and also a Lilly Grant. Curriculum will be planned. It
will be a two year program with retreats scheduled for three times during the
three years, to create community. Classes will be once a month, September thru
June. Kate is on that committee. June reported that part of this training could
be used for clergy as part of their clergy requirement for continuing education
for standing.
On August 4th volunteers will brainstorm ideas on how a grants should look.
This will happen at Waterville and is open to anyone on the Commission who is
interested in grant writing.
Rev. David Gaewski reports that a special Brown Grant for $13,500, may be avalible.
We will also apply for a smaller grant for the “Pastoral Excellance Program.”

Annual Meeting: Gene
Workshops have been defined, and will be official at thenext meeting of committee.
All of the workshops will during the day. During the evening, small groups will
meet for further info on what ever happens at the workshops. “Shepherds
Pie” from Farmington will do most of the music. Key Note Speakers: Mike
Doun will speak on health and well being, “Healthy Steward Program.”
David Shane will speak on “Evangelism Ministry” Edith Guffery will
speak about “Living Out Your Faith.”
Town Meetings: Town meetings around the state will start following Annual Meeting.
Discussions will be about the Assets of Our Conference.
Concerns of Associations and Conference Staff: Kate
We will explore ways to strengthen relationships between Associations and Conference.
