Meeting on June 2nd 2007

Attendees: Herb Oliver, John Crow, Earl Simpson, Kris Galasyn, Heidi Flick.

Absent: Margie Bartlett, Betty Ann Haskell, Linda Smith, Steve Harding, Evelyn Franson, David Deas, Peter Bauer, and Jean Santiago.

Welcome and Introductions

Minutes from May were read and discussed – Herb will make necessary corrections.

I. Commission for Community Life – Budget

There was no budge update

II. Report Recommendations of the Finance Committee
There was no Finance Committee update

III. Old Business
The group assembled Rockcraft mailing of approximately 500 marketing letters for area nonprofits.
Discussed creating an evaluation form for Rockcraft visitors. Earl will draft a document for the Commission to review at our next meeting.

V. Annual Meeting Committee Update – Herb

Committee continues the planning process for this years Annual Meeting. Next Planning meeting will be June 7th at 11am in Waterville.

VI. Executive Committee Update – Herb

Next meeting will be June 7th at 2:30 in Waterville

VII. Coordinating Council Update – Herb

Next meeting will be June 15th at 10am in Waterville

VIII. New Business
Herb Oliver was nominated as Chair by Kris G, second by Heidi F. Herb excepted and will continue as CCL Chair.
Heidi Flick was nominated as Secretary by Kris G, second by Herb Oliver. Heidi agreed to serve as Secretary.
Schedule of Commission Meetings for 2007 – 2008 was reviewed and accepted. These meetings will continue to be held in Waterville with worship and refreshment responsibilities alternating among Commissions. The dates are as follows:
September 8th (Spiritual Life)*

October 6th (Community Life)

November 3rd (Witness Life)

December 1st (Spiritual Life)

January 5th (Community Life)

February 2nd (Witness Life)

March 1st (Spiritual Life)

April 5th (Community Life)

May 3rd (Witness Life)

* Historically Commissions have not always met in September but given the Annual Meeting schedule for 2008 and potential topics for fall, the decision was made to hold a meeting in September 2007 and not in June 2008.
