For Your Information

REGISTRATION
The Maine Conference Registration Desk will be located in the Olsen Student Center, in the lobby outside the South Dining Hall. The Registration desk will be open from 10 am to 6:45 pm Friday, and 8 am to 2 pm Saturday. Campus housing room assignments and keys will be issued at the Registration Desk. Please be aware that there is a fee for lost keys. Providing clear information on the registration form will insure that everyone has access to a single sex bathroom.

FEES, ROOMS, MEALS AND FACILITIES
Fees: Payment is due with your registration form. You may save $5 on your registration fee by having your registration form and fee to the Conference Office by May 16th. Since commitments regarding numbers must be made to the University two weeks before the meeting, there can be no refunds after June 1st. However, one name can be substituted for another after that time. Please notify Sue Stevens by e-mail (suestevens@maineucc.org) of cancellations or substitutions as soon as possible.

Rooms: All registrations are on a first come/first served basis. There are a limited number of single rooms available in the dorms, so rooms will be assigned as the registrations are received.

I have several rooms with 4 beds, and one room with 5 beds available. If you are part of a group and would like to reserve one of those rooms, please let me know as soon as possible. I will do my best to accommodate you.

The dormitory rooms will have the beds made up with sheets, pillow and pillowcase, a blanket, a towel and washcloth and plastic cup. Other items to bring along might include alarm clock, reading lamp, and a fan.

Meals will be served cafeteria style in the South Dining Hall. There will be a choice of offerings for each meal, but persons with special dietary needs should note them under special needs on the registration form. Persons needing help with their tray should note that fact as well.

Old South Church in Farmington is offering a Chicken Bar-B-Que for all Annual Meeting attendees after the worship service on Sunday. Menu will be barbecued chicken, assortment of potato salad, macaroni salad or cole slaw, roll w/butter and cake for dessert, accompanied by live music, all for $10 per person. This will be one more opportunity for fellowship and relaxation before we start for home. If you are planning to stay for the BBQ, please note the number of reservations on your Registration form. The price of the BBQ will be collected at the door. Old South will also be conducting open house tours of their facility, so everyone can see how they used their Resourcing the Local Church grant last year.

Old South Church will also provide the Small Church Mission Team Luncheon on Saturday. Again please note your reservation on the Registration form, and be prepared to pay at the church.

VOLUNTEERS wearing bright red vests and Committee members in red stoles will be available throughout the weekend with maps, information and a desire to provide cheerful help about the Annual Meeting schedule and other details. They are there to provide help with questions, so just ask.

SHUTTLE SERVICE - ON CAMPUS TRANSPORTATION
We will be using several different buildings around the campus for different functions – meals, Plenary sessions, workshops. For many of us the chance to walk between buildings is a great exercise opportunity, but for others for whom it presents an obstacle, a shuttle service will be provided. If you will require the shuttle to get around campus, please note that fact under special needs on the Registration form. Special stickers will be provided for those needing shuttle service. In case of inclement weather, the shuttle will be available for everyone after the passengers with shuttle stickers are served.
Parking lots for our attendees will be designated by the University, please follow their directions.

CHILD CARE

Child care for those under 12 years of age will be provided at Old South Church, only during the scheduled meetings. Children should be with their parents during meals. Meals may be ordered on the registration form. If no childcare requests have been received by May 16th, childcare plans will be cancelled. Use the Childcare Registration Form to reserve childcare accommodations, and return them with the parent’s registration forms.

WORKSHOPS
Since there is only one workshop session this year, please note a first and second choice for your workshop preference. Included in the workshop offerings, are two service projects, designed for those who would like to work out the kinks from sitting at the Plenary sessions. Consider participating so we can return the hospitality of the town of Farmington.

WHAT TO BRING TO ANNUAL MEETING
In keeping with our theme of "It's Who We Are", we invite each church to assemble a collage of items representing the best of who you are. Using a half sheet of poster board (14" x 22") assemble pictures and other interesting objects that will let us know who you are (or hope to be). Don't forget to include your name and location. We will display these posters on the walls of the Olsen Student Center main hallway.

QUESTIONS FOR REV. JOHN THOMAS
Rev. John Thomas will hold a Evening of Conversation on Saturday evening, June 21, following dinner in the South Dining Room. To allow Rev. Thomas to provide the most complete answers, please submit your questions to the Conference Office by June 13. Other questions will be welcomed from the floor on Saturday evening.

BE “GREEN”
Again this year, all printed materials for the Annual Meeting will be available on the Conference website (www.maineucc.org) for churches to print and distribute to their delegates and visitors. Each document that will be discussed and/or voted on at Annual Meeting will be designated with a Document letter on the front page. No copies will be available at the Annual Meeting, so please print them and bring to the Meeting.

We suggest that each of us bring our own water bottle, travel mug, etc. to use during the meeting. This could save the landfill from hundreds of paper cups or plastic bottles.

COMMUNICATIONS
If you bring a cell phone to Annual Meeting, please turn it off or use the silent mode during the sessions.

There will be a bulletin board at the Registration desk for posting messages.
