1. A Candlelight Advent Healing Service will be held at the Raymond Village Community Church, United Church of Christ, Main Street, Raymond on Tuesday, December 11th at 7:00 P.M. You are invited to join them for this quiet and contemplative service of carols, Scripture, and other readings designed to help you prepare for all that Advent and Christmas are meant to be. Please bring a small stone.
Have you lost a loved one this past year? Is your loved one in the service, away at college, moved away from home and they can't get home for Christmas? Then this service is for you. Please join us to let go and let God comfort you.

2. Job Opening: The Maine Conference is seeking a Director for its new Academy for Congregational Life and Leadership. We are looking for a qualified person, lay or ordained, to 1) assist the Academy for Congregational Life and Leadership planning team in bringing the Academy into being and 2) provide general administration and oversight of the Academy.
Duties include, but are not limited to: recruiting faculty and students, publicizing and promoting the Academy, coordinating the Academy calendar and site arrangements, being present at Academy sessions and retreats, planning and leading retreats, maintaining communication with students, maintaining Academy and student records, and attending meetings of the Advisory Board.
Job Qualifications: College graduate. Experience in the teaching ministry and/or administration is required. Ideally a candidate for this position should be able to demonstrate skills and experience in both areas.
This is a part-time position requiring an average of ten hours of work per week. The annual stipend is $8,500 and work mileage will be reimbursed.

Seeking Organist: The First Church in Belfast, United Church of Christ, continues its search for an energetic and creative organist who loves music and is dedicated to enriching the worship of God through their music. Responsibilities include: Providing organ and piano music for Sunday 10 am worship services and accompaniment of choir (practices Sunday mornings at 8:30 am), as well as for Christmas Eve and other special services as available. The Division of Overseas Ministries of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) seeks qualified candidates for the Program Associate for Advocacy and Education, based in Indianapolis, Indiana. The primary function is to facilitate Global Ministries’ efforts to help Disciples and UCC churches advocate on behalf of justice issues important to our congregations, Global Ministries, and our partner churches and institutions around the world.
