Annual Meeting 2009 will be here before you know it. We will gather Sept. 25-27, 2009 at Sunday River. Our theme this year is “Justice”, and we will be exploring all types of justice and how we can hold it fast in our hearts and listen to our God. Meanwhile, we need your help with a couple of details for the meeting.

PLEASE FORWARD THIS MESSAGE TO YOUR CHOIR DIRECTOR, THANKS

Our organist and choir director for Annual Meeting have already chosen the anthems that will be used during Sunday morning’s worship. If you have copies of either of these anthems that you could loan to the Conference for the weekend of Annual Meeting, please contact Pat Butler at jpbutler6@yahoo.com All sheet music will returned promptly after Annual Meeting.
The two pieces we are looking for are:
"Come to the Water" Jack Schrader's arrangement of John Foley's hymn.
"Halle, Halle, I'm So Glad" is by Jean Anne Shafferman and Anna Laura Page.

PLEASE FORWARD THIS MESSAGE TO YOUR PRAYER SHAWL MINISTRY

As part of the theme, we would like to celebrate all of the Prayer Shawl ministries in our local churches. If your church has a prayer shawl ministry, we would invite you to bring prayer shawl(s) to the processional at Annual Meeting. The shawls will then decorate the room until they are dedicated at the Sunday morning worship service and packed up to be sent to Maine Medical Center in Portland, and Eastern Maine Medical in Bangor, to be patients by our chaplains.

If you do not have a prayer shawl ministry at your church, and would like to start one, we have someone who is willing to help you get started. Contact Sue at the Conference office (suestevens@maineucc.org) and she will put you in touch with our knitting expert.
