1. Its Coming – The 76th Annual Meeting of the Maine Conference is rapidly
approaching. I know it seemed a long time away when I started sending you these
reminders, but it’s only a month until we get together at Sunday River
to work, play, dream and pray together. All registration materials can be found
at the Conference website www.maineucc.org Please print them off and distribute
to your delegates and visitors. The deadline for reserving your lodging at Sunday
River, in order to receive the Conference room rate, is Aug. 27, so contact
them soon. If you have any questions, please call Sue at the Conference office
– 846-5118.
2. With our new Associate Conference Minister joining the team on August 27, we wanted to let you know about the changes in responsibility that will take effect. David Gaewski will be working with the Hancock-Waldo, Cumberland, Lincoln and Aroostook Associatons; David Ray will work with Washington and Franklin Associations; and Susie Craig will work with the York, Oxford Union, Kenebec Valley and Penobscot-Piscataquis Associations. All other Conference committee assignments will remain the same as they were during the transitional period.
2. One workshop choice at the Maine Conference Annual Meeting is CHOIR REHEARSAL.
We will practice for the Sunday Morning
Worship Service, and be prepared to provide an anthem and some service music.
Please sign up for the rehearsal workshop and know
you are welcome to be part of the Annual Meeting Choir!
