To all those who spoke, listened, sang, taught, learned, loved and laughed, we appreciate your part in making Annual Meeting great. Please note that the coffee served at the Saturday evening reception was donated by Equal Exchange Coffee. See you all next year in Farmington, June 11 – 13, 2010.
If you took any pictures at Annual Meeting, and are willing to share them, please send them to Sue Stevens (suestevens@maineucc.org) so she can put them on the website. Thanks

5. Amigos Para Siempre….
Sharing the Honduras Story….
Praying for the Honduran People.
The Honduras Partnership Committee cordially invites you to a Fiesta and Service of Prayer on Sunday afternoon, October 4th from 2:00 to 6:00 at First Congregational Church, UCC in Waterville. This gathering is for everyone interested in our work in Honduras: members of past mission trips, those considering going to Honduras in the future, those who have hosted Honduran young people and adults, those who have been praying for our brothers and sisters during this time of crisis, those who helped collect supplies after Hurricane Mitch, in fact, this day is for all members of the Maine Conference who would like to come.
Our time together will feature many slides and pictures from our work in Honduras over the years. We will gather with ice tea and lemonade, salsa and chips to take a look at the past. Then we will have the honor of hearing from the President of the Evangelical and Reformed Church of Honduras, Carlos Ortega, who will update us on the situation in the country in the time since the military coup in June. There will be a time for questions and answers moderated by Rev. Bruce Burnham, chair of the Honduras Partnership Committee.
Following the program we will move to the sanctuary for worship. The service will feature singing, prayer, and scripture. Rev. David Gaewski will be the preacher for the afternoon. There will be an offering received for our continued work in Honduras.
The day will conclude with the Fiesta. Everyone coming is asked to bring a contribution to a Honduran Potluck Supper which will begin at 5:00 pm. Church groups are asked to bring enough food to feed those coming with them, either salad or main dish. There will be a cake for dessert celebrating our partnership.
If you or your church or your mission trip team or your association would like to attend please reply e-mail by October 1st:
