About This Image
The building is
the temple mount in Jerusalem, a structure that both Jesus and
Paul would have known. Jesus and Paul never met during
Jesus' earthly life. Their images are digitally projected
(intentional word use) onto separate planes. The two cannot
see one another and appear to be headed for a collision
indicating discontinuity. The bird at the top, which
is original to the temple photo, symbolizes a direct line
from one plane to the other suggesting continuity.
The image of Jesus
on the left
is a mosaic circa 1200 AD from the 4th century Hagia Sophia in Istanbul, The
mosaic of Paul is circa 1320 AD in the 5th century
